Innisfail Eagles Prepare for Historic 80th Season
For eight decades, generations of players have pulled on an Innisfail Eagles jersey. Families have filled the stands. Local businesses have supported the team. Volunteers have worked behind the scenes. Players, coaches and supporters have come and gone, but the Eagles have remained part of the fabric of the Innisfail community. And now, they're are preparing to to celebrate the people, stories and community support that made it all possible.
Eight Decades of Eagles Hockey
The Eagles story stretches back to the late 1940s. Over the years, names, faces and leagues have changed while hockey - and the world evolved.
As part of the 80th-season celebration, fans can get a snapshot of that history on the Innisfail Eagles website.
Calling All The Birds!
At the Eagles' home opener on Saturday, October 17 at 8:00 p.m., when the Eagles host the Camrose Bruins at the Innisfail Twin Arena, all Eagles alumni are invited to attend the game as guests of the team.
It will be an opportunity to welcome former Eagles back to the rink, reconnect with old teammates and friends, and recognize the generations of people who have been part of the club's story.

The team encourages fans and community members to help spread the word - if you know a former player who may not have heard about the invitation, please share it with them.
Be There for the 80th Season
Fans can also make sure they are part of the milestone season with a commemorative Adult Season Pass, now on sale for $70. The pass includes admission to all eight Eagles regular-season home games, giving fans 8 games for the price of 7 and can be ordered online.
As an added 80th-season bonus, everyone who orders an Adult Season Pass will also be entered into draws for Eagles swag - and can be ordered until October 1st.
New Sponsor Business Directory
An 80th season does not happen because of one team or one generation. It happens because people keep showing up - including local businesses.
This year the Eagles are excited about their new business directory on the website - created to properly thank them for their support, without which the team could not lace up and take to the ice. That community support will once again be an important part of the Eagles' 80th season.
As preparations for the 2026-27 season continue, the club is currently finalizing its sponsorship partnerships and welcoming inquiries from businesses interested in becoming part of the Eagles' milestone year. Details can be found on the website.
With the 80th season approaching, the Eagles are looking forward to celebrating the club’s history while creating new memories with the players, fans, alumni, volunteers and businesses who continue to be part of the team’s story.
